纵观其历史, k8 has sought to serve 的 kingdom of God by offering educational programs to Christians of various denominational backgrounds. The university has urged Christian ecumenicity in a commitment to 的 basic doctrines of historic Christianity. At 的 same time k8 feels it has a 的ological contribution and educational ministry that is unique to 的 heritage of its sponsoring denomination, 的 International Pentecostal Holiness Church.
信仰条款
1. 我们相信 的re is but one living and true God, 永恒的, 拥有无限的力量, 智慧 and goodness; Maker and Preserver of all things, both visible and invisible. And in 的 unity of this Godhead, 的re are three Persons of one substance of eternal being, 在圣洁上是平等的, 正义, 智慧, 权力, and dignity; 的 Fa的r, 儿子, 和圣灵.
2. 我们相信圣子, who is 的 Word of 的 Fa的r, 的 永恒的上帝, of one substance with 的 Fa的r, took man’s nature in 的 womb of 的 blessed virgin; so that two whole and perfect natures, 也就是说, 的 Godhead and 的 manhood were joined toge的r in one Person, 永不分离, 基督只有一位, 非常神和完美的人, 谁真的受苦了?, 被钉十字架, 死, 葬, to reconcile 的 Fa的r to us, 为了赎罪, not only for our actual guilt, but also for original sin.
3. 我们相信 that Christ did truly rise again from 的 死, 又取了他的身体去, with all things appertaining to 的 perfections of man’s nature, and ascended into heaven and 的re sits until He shall return to judge all men at 的 last day.
4. 我们相信 的 Holy Ghost, proceeding from 的 Fa的r and 儿子, 是一种物质, majesty and glory with 的 Fa的r and 儿子, 永恒的上帝.
5. 我们相信 in 的 verbal and plenary inspiration of 的 Holy Scriptures, 被称为圣经, composed of sixty-six books and divided into two departments, 旧约和新约. 我们相信 的 Bible is 的 Word of God, 的 full and complete revelation of 的 plan and history of redemption.
6. 我们相信 that eternal life with God in heaven is a portion of 的 reward of 的 finally righteous; and that 永恒的 banishment from 的 presence of 的 Lord and unending torture in hell are 的 wages of 的 persistently wicked (Mat的w 25:46; Psalm 9:17; Revelation 21:7, 8).
7. 我们相信 that Jesus Christ shed His blood for 的 remission of sins that are past, for 的 regeneration of penitent sinners, and for salvation from sin and from sinning (Romans 3:25; 1 John 3:5-10; Ephesians 2:1-10).
8. 我们相信, teach and firmly maintain 的 scriptural doctrine of justification by faith alone (Romans 5:1).
9. 我们相信 that Jesus Christ shed His blood for 的 complete cleansing of 的 justified believer from all indwelling sin and from its pollution, subsequent to regeneration (1 John 1:7-9).
10. 我们相信 in sanctification. While sanctification is initiated in regeneration and consummated in glorification, we believe it includes a definite, instantaneous work of grace achieved by faith subsequent to regeneration (Acts 26:18; 1 John 1:9). Sanctification delivers from 的 权力 and dominion of sin. It is followed by lifelong growth in grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ (2 Corinthians 4:16; 2 Peter 3:18).
11. 我们相信 that 的 Pentecostal baptism of 的 Holy Ghost and fire is obtainable by a definite act of appropriating faith on 的 part of 的 fully cleansed believer, and 的 initial evidence of 的 reception of this experience is speaking with o的r tongues as 的 Spirit gives utterance (Luke 11:13; Acts 1:5; 2:1-4; 8:17; 10:44-46; 19:6).
12. 我们相信 in divine healing as in 的 atonement (Isaiah 53:4, 5; Mat的w 8:16, 17; Mark 16:14-18; James 5:14-16; Exodus 15:26).
13. 我们相信 in 的 imminent, 个人, premillennial second coming of our Lord Jesus Christ (1 Thessalonians 4:15-17; Titus 2:13; 2 Peter 3:10-14; Mat的w 24:29-44), and love and wait for His appearing (2 Timothy 4:8).
14. 我们相信 it is 的 responsibility of every believer to dedicate his life to carrying out 的 work of 的 Great Commission (Mat的w 28:18-20; Mark 16:15-20; Acts 1:8).
