招生 Process

欢迎 to Southwestern Christian University!

Our aim is to offer a high-quality, personal educational experience where you as a student can be accepted into our family with arms open; to not only help you grow in knowledge, 智慧, and skill; but also grow spiritually in a nurturing Christian environment!  At Southwestern Christian University, your collegiate family will come from all walks of life, from different parts of the nation, and from around the world; with over 20 represented countries every year!

 

Admission to Southwestern Christian University is based upon academic achievement, a demonstrated aptitude for college-level work and personal Christian character, and your personal skill in arts, k8, or your contributions to the world around you.

 

First-Time Freshman

(传统 & Online Professional Studies) 

Applicants who have completed less than 12 hours of college credit are considered first-time freshmen.  Applicants must submit the following to be considered for admission:

 

Standard Admission is based on meeting 2 of the 3 following criteria:

  1. An 行为 composite 分数 of at least 19 or 坐 of at least 990 (CR + M)
  2. Unweighted high school GPA of at least 2.0
  3. Class rank in the upper half

If you do not meet Standard Admission requirements, you may be considered for 有条件的 or 试用 验收.  

 

Conditional Admission

  1. An 行为 composite 分数 of 16 through 18 or 坐 of at least 790 through 890 (CR + M)
  2. Un-weighted high school GPA of at least 2.0
  3. Class rank in the upper half

Freshman Granted Conditional Admission:

1) Will be limited to an enrollment of 13 hours during the first semester.

2) May be required to enroll in appropriate remedial courses.

3) May be Limited to one university activity or Athletic team until the 有条件的 status is removed.

4) Conditionally accepted students will be required to achieve at least a 2.0 GPA during their first semester.

Concurrent Enrollment

High school juniors and seniors who meet certain entrance criteria may enroll in four (4) credit hours per semester at a discounted rate. 另外, they may enroll in three (3) credit hours per semester at the regular tuition rate for a total of seven (7) credit hours. Applicants interested in concurrent enrollment must submit the following:

Applicants with prior college credit are considered transfer students. Applicants must submit the following to be considered for admission:

  • Official transcripts from all schools attended.
  • The applicant must have a minimum cumulative college GPA of 2.0 
  • Applicants with less than 12 hours of college credit will be subject to meeting the entrance requirements of a "First-Time Freshman."

Southwestern Christian University has a rolling admission policy. Once all required credentials have been received, the k8 Office of 招生 will notify the applicant by e-邮件, 邮件, 和/或电话.
